1.  Passport valid for a minimum of six months with at least 2 blank pages.

2.  Two recent identical colour photos. These must be 50mm X 50mm, not the standard passport type size. Most photo booths offer this option, but if you are unable to obtain this size we do have the facility to re-size standard ones.

3.  Completed Application form (see below).

4.  Signed Declaration form (see below).

For the 48 hour service we need your documents by 9:30am in order to apply on the same day. The visa will be ready two working days later at approximately 2pm.

If the documents arrive after 9:30am, it may still be possible to apply the same day, but this will incur a supplementary fee of £25.

The Consular fees quoted above include the embassy outsourcing fee.

If either the applicant, or their parents, were born in Pakistan, they will need to provide extra documentation. Please call/email us for the up to date requirements.

Those holding multiple entry tourist visas must allow 2 months between exiting and re-entering India and have to wait 1 month after its expiry date before being able to apply for their next tourist visa.

IMPORTANT: Applications for British Nationals born outside of the UK may take longer than the timescales above.

Th e application form has to be filled in online. Before doing so, you will need to have to hand:

Your passport - as well as giving your passport details, you will need to list all countries you have visited in the last 10 years, and the details of any previous Indian visa you have been issued with.

The names and addresses of two referees, one in the UK and one in India. For the Indian one, you can put the details o f the hotel you are staying in. Please note that you must include postcodes.

After clicking through to the form below, it is best to make a note of the Temporary Application ID in case you need to look up more information and return to complete it later.

Please select the visa options: Tourist, 6 month and Multiple.

However, if you are visiting India twice on the same trip (eg India-Nepal-India), please select Double. When applying for the Double-entry, you will also need to supply a detailed itinerary. 

Please note that with the multiple-entry visa you cannot return to India within two months for a second visit.

After completing the form, you will come to a screen that asks whether you want to make an appointment and payment. Please select NO as we do these for you. If you do select yes, and make payment, please be aware that the visa centre cannot always link your payment to our application, and you might end up paying twice.  It is also a good idea to make a note of the Web File Number displayed on this screen.

Finally, print the form and sign it in both places indicated.

There's no need to send any money now, we usually take a card number from you after the visa is issued and all is in order.
